[glow=red,2,300]This is one of my un-finished fanfics but may be if enough people are interested and I find the time I'll write a bit more.
In book 5 I remember Dumbledore saying that in the department of mysteries there is a room that is more wonderful and worse than death this fanfic is going to be revolving around that idea. There aren't any parts availible for any extra characters. If you haven't read Ootp don't read on! I'm still not sure if anyone will want to read a fanfic about this topic so give me one bump and I'll start!
Rating: 11+ for a few sad scenes, (Harry remembering deaths, one character di...* shouldn't have said that* etc.) [/glow]

Thanx for you support guys!
Chapter 1- The letter
For a summers night it was fairly cold and everyone of Privet Drive were in their homes snug up in their cozy beds. Everyone that was except one boy, the boy had untidy jet black hair and emerald green eyes. He had a thin face and on his forehead lay a lightning bolt shaped scar. From the look of his thin face you could tell that he wasn't like just any other boy, he was different and he had the scar on his forehead to prove it. He lay on his back on top of his bed, eyes wide open and unable to fall asleep. It was his fault all his fault the Sirius was dead, if he had not been so stupid as to let his mind be manipulated by him, by Voldemort! He was thinking continuosly thinking what would've happened if he hadn't made that mistake. He heard the sound of rustling feathers near his window he got up and opened it to find a small grey owl that hugely resembled a tiny grey ball. The owl fluttered inside and dropped the parcel that was tied losely to his leg onto the bed foolishly. He picked up the parcel and started reading the note attached to it while offering the owl a bit of food. The writing in the note wasn't very neat and it looked like it had been done in a bit of a rush. Harry, I'm sorry I can't make everything very clear in this letter, all I can say right now is to stay close to your aunt! Remember everything that Dumbledore told you! and if something happens only then should you open the parcel! It's only in case of an emergency! -Lupin Harry eyed the letter with a confused look on his face. What was going on right now that he needed to stay with so much caution of course the wizard that had killed his parents and godfather had indeed risen to power, but now everybody was prepared now everyone knew, and what item was in the parcel that Lupin had sent him that he would only be able to use it if something happened. What happened? What was Voldemort planning? The thought that everything was once again being hidden from him was painful. Had his friends forgotten him again? They hadn't sent him one letter yet not even on his 16th birthday... 'No' Harry reasured himself. His friends could never forget him they were real friends and had always stuck with him, but...it was hard to tell whether they probably chose to remain friends with him or not after all only a month ago he had almost driven them both to their deaths and all because of that foolish mistake...

Chapter 2 - Missing the wizard world
Harry tried to remove his mind off the topic but it was hard to forget, it was hard to forget that only a month a go had he led his godfather the only person that was close to him to his death, and along with that he had almost led his friends to their deaths, how was he supposed to believe that they were still his friends they might have changed their minds after what happened, and Percy... Harry was reminded how the older brother of one of his best friends had turned against him, started to believe that he was mad. Harry was almost sure that Percy had probably told Ron to stay away from Harry that it was all his fault that Ron could've died. The thought once again was painful. He removed his mind from the subject and turned to look towards the small grey owl zooming around his room. It was Ron's owl, he thought. If Ron had let Lupin use his owl to send a letter to Harry it would definately be a possibility that he was still his friend, but then why hadn't he sent any mail not even on his birthday... Of course! Harry thought. Dumbledore had said that they weren't allowed to send too much mail via owl because it would look suspicious. Then that would mean that Ron was in Grimmauld place and by the looks of it so was Lupin. So then when were they going to pick up Harry? They had said they'd see him really soon but they hadn't... Harry glanced over to the letter Lupin had sent him. stay close to your aunt! That would mean that they probably weren't going to pick him up any time soon. Even though it hadn't been a too bad summer, Dudley had stayed away from Harry, Uncle Vernon didn't dare say a word to him and Aunt Petunia had actually started to give him 3 proper meals a day. Whenever he said he'd want to see the new they would hand him over the remote right away but it wasn't out of the goodness of their hearts it was purely of fright that if they didn't listen to Harry, Harry's mad-eyed friend might show up. Harry still missed being in the wizarding world.

Chapter 3 - Dudley
Thinking that he would be able to go back to Hogwarts after the summer cheered Harry up a bit and watching Pig zoom around his room he tried to shut his eyes and get some sleep. With so many thoughts in his head it was hard for Harry to fall asleep but in the end he managed it. The next morning Harry awoke with a start, he had seen Sirius falling into the veil again, it wasn't anything new for him, he now saw it every night and it was the reason he had even tried not to fall asleep one time. "Mum! But I don't want to!" Harry heard the voice of his fat cousin, "wh...wh...what if he uses it!" "Just go!" said Aunt Petunia nervously. "H-Harry! mumwantsyoutowakeup!" said Dudley all in one breath approching Harry's room and leaving 2 seconds later. Harry smirked, he liked the fact that Dudley was scared of him now, it sort of comforted him. Occasionally just for the fun of it Harry would take out his wand infront of Dudley to scare him, and the most entertaining part was that it worked. The second Harry would take out his wand Dudley's face would fall into a frightened expression, that was also the reason that Dudley avoided Harry so much. Harry got up from the top of his bed and went to the bathroom to wash his face. He stared at the reflection that stared back at him in the mirror. His face was covered with sweat and more thinner than it had ever been, even though he had now been getting full meals. Although his face had gotten thinner he had definately gotten taller he had atleast grown another inch during the summer and he would atleast be as tall as Ron by now. He washed his face quickly and made his way down to the kitchen. When he arrived in the kitchen he could see that the Dursley's were performing their usual routine of ignoring Harry and pretending he wasn't there until he said something to them. Uncle Vernon was reading the morning paper, Aunt Petunia was busy frying some baconfor breakfast and Dudley was watching t.v. stealing frightened glances at Harry every now and then. Harry smiled at Dudley. "Give me the remote I want to watch t.v." Harry said to Dudley. Dudley looked as if he was going to hit Harry for even asking but he gave the remote to Harry anyways. Harry gave Dudley a satisfied smile and turned to the muggle news.

Chapter 4 - Interesting News
There weren't many interesting stories on the news and when the news had reached the final story which was of a store robbery Harry was about to turn off the t.v but then there was something that caught his attention. A reporter was questioning a boy who looked to be in his late teens, he had been working in the store at the time of the crime. The reporter asked the boy what had happened and he answered standing infront of the store that absolubtly nothing had happened to the store and the security alarm hadn't even been triggered but several important and valuable items were missing. He also added that it was his shift to watch over the store but he remembered absolubtely nothing that had happened. Hary looked towards the name of the store:
Magical and Mystical Artefacts and Antiques
If somebody had hacked into an antique shop and left no mark behind that might mean that it had been the work of a wizard, but what would be in a muggle artefact and antique shop that would be so important? Harry turned to look back at the reporter interviewing the boy. "And what were the valuable items that were stolen?" the blonde haired reporter asked. "There was an antique torch lined with real dimonds and emeralds, a priceless painting of a man in robes and a pointed hat and an antique egyptian mirror." the boy answered. "The torch might have been a valuable thing to steal but what would someone want from a painting and a mirror?" asked the reporter. "I don't know I was just looking after the store while my boss who is the real owner of the store was gone on vacation. He might know what the real worth of the items were," said the boy with a frightened look on his face. "Well folks, there you have it an antique shop with no damage done to it at all was robbed of a valuable torch, a priceless painting and an antique mirror. What kind of mastermind could have done this and for what reason? Over to you Jim." concluded the reporter. "Well that was weird let's just hope the theif behind this is caught! That all for today's morning news. Good bye and have a nice day!" said Jim.

Chapter 4 con't
Harry stared at the t.v. with a surprised look on his face. Who would want to rob a muggle shop for a torch, a painting and a mirror? Harry thought, But then he remembered something...the painting was of a man in robes and a pointed hat, it was probably the painting of a wizard, but that still didn't answer why someone would want to steal it. If it was the painting of a wizard and the robbery had been a wizards' work then this news would probably be in the Daily Prophet. Yes, Harry would have to check in there. Harry quickly ate breakfast stuffing his mouth with whatever he saw on his plate and then with his mouth still full he rushed to his bedroom. Well enough an owl was waiting for him outside his window. Harry opened the window and let the tawny barn owl fly in. It dropped the daily prophet in his hands and motioned its beak towards the small leather pouch it was wearing. Harry placed a k'nut inside its pouch, the owl gave a satisfied hoot and flew out of his window. Harry scaned the headlines and saw there was nothing about the muggle antique shop robbery. Then remembering what Hermione had told him to read the whole paper thoroughly he started reading every article looking for something, anything, that involved the shop robbery. And after quite a while of reading he found it...
