After who knows how long, and the class had finally completed their task of unlocking all the cubicle doors, Professor Luna returns to the front of the room to get the students' attention and assign their homework.
"All right, class! That's enough. Thank you. You've all done a wonderful job. It's good that you have all completed the Alohomora charm at least once, because for your homework you will need to perform it at least 5 more times."
The students look a bit puzzled.
"I have locked certain doors around this castle that you all will need to go through. I locked them with a special charm so that everyone can pass through them freely except for those of you in this classroom. You will use the Alohomora charm to unlock these doors as you come to them.
* If two of you should be walking together, and a door proves to be locked by my charm, whichever of you performs Alohomora will be able to pass through. This means that you both would have to perform the charm in order for you both to pass through the door.
* There are at least 5 doors which each of you will certainly encounter.
* Once you have successfully unlocked one, it will remain unlocked to you thereafter.
* There are 8 locked doors. You only need to unlock 5. Unlocking extra doors may or may not result in extra credit. I haven't decided yet.
* Some of the doors are locked more powerfully than others. These may take more concentration.
* You will have the rest of the week to complete unlocking all the doors. After this week, I will remove the lock charm."
The students begin to whisper amongst each other.
"All right, then. Good luck to you all. Don't forget to send me accounts of your unlocking experiences. You need to include which locked door you came upon, how you unlocked it, how successful your charm was, and how long it took you. There should be at least 5 accounts in each of your homeworks. I will see you next week. If you have any questions regarding homework, please come see me in my office. You are dismissed."
